👩‍🏫

A teacher who truly gets it.

I believe that with the right tools and a little professional insight, every family can find more joy in the early years. I bring classroom-tested strategies directly into your living room — with warmth, patience and no judgment.

My approach is rooted in Finnish education philosophy: rather than trying to change or "fix" a child, I focus on understanding who they are - their strengths, their interests, and their unique way of seeing the world.

Early Childhood Education Teacher

Qualified and experienced in working with children ages 1–7

Bachelor of Social Services

Deep understanding of child development and family dynamics

Finnish Education Approach

Positive pedagogy, strength-based, child-led learning

Rooted in Finnish positive pedagogy.

Rather than focusing on what's "wrong", I look for what's right — and build from there. Every child has strengths, and every family has its own rhythm.

Strength-based

We start from what your child is good at and what lights them up — not from a list of problems to fix. Progress comes from building on what's already there.

Child-led & respectful

Children have their own pace and their own way. My strategies work with your child's nature, not against it — no pressure, no force, no shame.

Practical for real families

Theory is only useful if it works in real life. Everything I suggest is designed to fit into your actual daily routine - simple, clear and immediately usable.

Honest about who I can help.

✓ This is for you if…

  • You want pedagogical strategies to improve daily life — mornings, mealtimes, bedtime, transitions
  • You want to understand your child's developmental stage and what's age-appropriate
  • You need practical tools for tantrums, boundaries or social-emotional learning
  • You're ready to try new routines and consistent approaches at home
  • Your child is between 1–7 years old

✕ This is NOT for you if…

  • Your child has acute medical issues or needs clinical diagnosis — please see a pediatrician
  • You need certified sleep therapy, speech pathology, or occupational therapy
  • You are in a crisis situation requiring immediate intervention
  • You are looking for physical skills coaching such as swimming or sports
ℹ️

Please note: My services provide educational and pedagogical guidance based on my experience as a teacher. I am not a medical professional, psychologist, or certified clinical specialist. This consultation is not a substitute for professional medical advice or clinical therapy. I am happy to work alongside your doctor's or therapist's advice to support home routines.

What parents ask most.

A few of the most common topics families bring to me. If you recognize yourself here, I can help.

Daily Routines & Transitions

How can I get my child dressed and out the door without a battle every morning?
Morning chaos is one of the most common challenges I hear about. We'll look at the specific triggers and build a visual, predictable routine that gives your child a sense of control — which often reduces resistance significantly.
My child takes two hours to fall asleep. How do we create a peaceful bedtime?
Bedtime struggles usually come from overstimulation, unclear expectations, or a need for more connection. We'll look at your current routine and build a calmer, more predictable wind-down that works for your child's temperament.
Which format — email or video call — is better for my situation?
Both are equally effective. Email works wonderfully if you prefer to reflect and write, or if scheduling is tricky. A video call is better if you want to talk through nuances in real time or if your situation is complex and benefits from back-and-forth dialogue. Not sure? Start with email and you can always book a call later.

Emotions & Behavior

What should I actually do in the middle of a grocery store meltdown?
In the moment, less is more. I'll give you a clear, calm script for exactly what to do — and what to avoid — when emotions are running high in public.
My toddler has started hitting and biting. How do I stop this?
Hitting and biting at this age is almost always communication — your child doesn't yet have the words for what they feel. We'll work on understanding the trigger and building better ways to express frustration.
Why does my 4-year-old say "No" to everything, even things they like?
This is completely normal developmental behavior — your child is asserting independence. I'll share strategies that give them a sense of control while still keeping things moving at home.

About Video Call Sessions

How does the video call work technically?
After booking, you'll receive a confirmation with a link to choose your preferred time slot. Sessions take place via Zoom or Google Meet — whichever you prefer. You'll also fill out the intake form in advance so we can make the most of our 50 minutes together.
What if I need to reschedule my video call?
Life with young children is unpredictable — I completely understand! You can reschedule up to 24 hours before your session at no charge. Just reach out via email and we'll find a new slot that works.
Will I receive anything in writing after the video call?
Yes — within 48 hours of your session, I'll send a written summary of the key strategies we discussed, so you have a clear reference to return to. Your two-week follow-up email is also included.

Social Skills & Friendships

My child cries every drop-off at preschool. What can we do?
Separation anxiety at this age is completely normal. We'll build a consistent, loving goodbye ritual and look at what you can do at home to make the transition feel safer for your child.
My child is being left out or is being bossy with friends. How can I help?
Social skills are learned, not innate. I'll give you practical, playful ways to practice turn-taking, reading social cues, and building confidence with peers — all from home.
Do you offer swimming or sports coaching?
No — my expertise is strictly in Early Childhood Education and pedagogical guidance. I focus on the "hidden" parts of parenting: communication, routine-building, and emotional regulation. I don't offer coaching for physical skills.
